First Grade Compositions using Word!

This young writer is carefully editing her story.

     First grade students in Sunny Schlaudt's classroom have been composing stories using Microsoft Word. They have all logged in successfully, opened the Microsoft Word program, supplied a title, and composed their stories! They have also used correct keyboarding techniques to correctly capitalize words and punctuate sentences.

Using the 7 Habits, these writers
 begin with the end in mind.

As you can tell, these authors are pleased with their products!



They are fulfilling their Language Arts TEKS (19 Writing/Expository and Procedural Texts)  as they write their compositions. In addition, the Technology TEKS is being met. (6c. perform basic software application functions, including opening an application and creating, modifying, printing, and saving files.)
