Electronic Glyphs

Third Grade TAG Math students put their multiplication and technology skills to work creating their Turkey Glyphs in Paint.  After solving a collection of multiplication word problems with self-selecting factor pairs, the kids received a mini-lesson on the basics of Paint. The kids used the glyph key to create a turkey in Paint. Each product provided one required element of the turkey. Once they had completed their five required elements, (number of feathers, head shape, body shape, head/body color, and feather colors), the kids got to add their own creative flair.
