Researching Famous Americans

Third Grade students from Amy Timson's class visited the library to use the Dell Venue tablets for their research projects. Each student selected a famous African American to research and used the District's databases for research. They used Pebble Go Biographies, Britannica Online(Elementary or Middle), World Book Online, or other online resources.

Students discovered that their person may NOT have been in that resource, so they knew to proceed on to keep looking. They were able to navigate back and forth to the resource page, bookmark their favorites so they can continue at a later date.

Look at these students, hard at work!

Their research projects should be full of great information.

Second grade students were excited to engage in an activity using the Google Classroom app. After discussion, students were expected to create their own questions that showed their understanding of our Language Arts lesson in Thick and Thin Questioning.
